May ideology and political opportunism take the backseat today in the face of Hope, Life and New Beginning!

Cause: Make In China!

Cure: Make in India!

This is not about the nexus between Prime Minister Modi and Brazilian President Bolsonaro. They are irrelevant to the story.

I am sure it would be just the same if it were Manmohan Singh and Dilma Rousseff.

This story will go down in history on two counts.

1. A third world, impoverished nation rose to the occasion to save its citizens, when ravaged by a germ it did not invite home and over which it had no control; and...

2. India, as always, through history, has remained a healer to the world, irrespective of whether that world is populated by the devious or the divine. Which is also possibly why you find a significantly high number of Indian doctors in the best medical establishments of the world.

Finally, this is also a story that makes me so genuinely wish that India makes the vaccines available to Pakistan, though vaccination is a big issue with bigots.

Sadly, not many of us Indians are either aware or take pride in who we are inherently, and our unique legacy to human civilization.
